Monowai Pinot Gris, 2021

Stony lemon, kiwi, white peach, minerals on nose.  Palate is soft with more white peach, saline and hints of kumquat and apricot with a spiced finish.  The essence is of Italian Pinot Grigio meeting Alsatian Pinot Gris.  Monowai Esate focuses on cool climate styles; owners Emma Lowe and Marcelo Nunez developed their winemaking skills on both sides of the Pacific Ocean - in New Zealand and Chile. The Monowai name refers to the single expanse of ocean that separates their homelands.
