Tart pear, orchard apples, honeysuckle, orange.  Stone, minerals and tropical fruit layered on the palate with a nice weight yet crisp and clean.  Consistently highly rated white from the traditional, well known Rioja producer, CVNE.  The Rioja "Alta" sub-zone is influenced by the higher altitudes and Atlantic - ideal for making wines with elegance and finesse.  100% Viura (known as Macabeo or Macabeau outside of Rioja).
